TIPS for

Do not trailer your boat with canvas installed

Do not install your winter cover with canvas installed

Do not install your winter cover with canvas installed

  •  At highway speeds, wind can get under or around the cover, causing it to flap.  This can scratch, scuff, or rub the gel coat, windows, or fittings, sometimes badly enough to require repair.
  •  If the cover rips off, it becomes a road hazard and can cause accidents or legal issues.
  •  Straps or loose parts could damage other vehicles or cause you to lose control.
  •  Tearing a cover during trailering means replacing or repairing it—an avoidable expense.

  • DO NOT install your winter cover with any canvas (bimini tops, enclosures, mooring covers, etc.) still installed.
  • Cause damage to canvas and framework due to added pressure.
  • Trap moisture, increasing the risk of mold, mildew, or corrosion.
  • Compromise the fit and integrity of the winter cover.

Always remove all canvas and ensure the boat is dry before installing a winter cover for safe and proper off-season storage.
